She was brought up in Australia but was born in New Zealand. She has been a part of the well-known girl group BlackPink, managed by YG Entertainment, since August 2016.

She was born Roseanne Park in Auckland, New Zealand, and given the Korean name Park Chae-young. Australia’s Melbourne is where she grew up.
Rosé was already passionate with singing as a young youngster. She sang in the choir at her Australian church.
